Abrahamic Covenant
 and Daniel 9:27

In the infinite wisdom of God, He planned from the very beginning to save ALL mankind by Faith through His eternal Word – Yeshua Jesus.

However, in accordance with His Eternal Plan, and because of the Abrahamic Covenant, the Jews (Israel) were given the ‘Right of First Refusal’ of His Word made flesh – the Promised Seed Jesus.

Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said,
I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Moreover, it is important to note that Yeshua Jesus was ‘Designed to Die’ (the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, Rev. 13:8) – He alone was the only One qualified to pay the penalty of death for the Sin of ALL mankind.

To this end, Yeshua was ‘Cut Off’ (Hebrew word karath) in death while ‘Cutting a Covenant’ – the New Covenant.

karath, Hebrew 3772, Strong’s
karath,
kaw-rath'; a primitive root; to cut (off, down or asunder); by implication to destroy or consume; specifically to covenant (i.e. make an alliance or bargain, origin by cutting flesh and passing between the pieces) :- be chewed, be con- [feder-] ate, covenant, cut (down, off), destroy, fail, feller, be freed, hew (down), make a league ([covenant]), × lose, perish, × utterly, × want.

The very essence of the Hebrew word Karath above denotes a ‘cutting off/cutting down of the life of the sacrificed’, in the making of a New Covenant.

This is exactly what Jesus did by shedding His Own Blood in fulfillment of the eternal Abrahamic Covenant (the Promised Seed) for the Jews as well as the Gentiles.  Therefore, regarding His required death, it would have made NO difference (other than fulfilling prophecies) whether the Jews had accepted Him or not – He still had to die for the Sin of ALL mankind – both Jew and Gentile alike.

Although, if Abraham’s posterity had accepted Jesus as the full ‘Embodiment’ of the Abrahamic Covenant, (the Promised Seed) they would have been healed of their Sin and received eternal life.  In addition, they would have been given the opportunity of becoming the world’s Gospel Evangelists instead of, to their shame, the Gentiles.  Nonetheless, this being said, the Gentiles gladly accepted the Promised Seed of the Abrahamic Covenant (Yeshua Jesus) by Faith adoption and now as the Grafted Church fulfill His Great Commission, instead of the Jews.

When Jesus declared to the Jews the New Covenant, it was in fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant hence, the Promised Seed.  Therefore, the New Covenant and the Abrahamic Covenant became ONE in Yeshua Jesus.

Jeremiah 31:31
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that
I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Matthew 26:28
For this is my blood of the
new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Moreover, because the Natural Olive Branches (the Jews) rejected their Messiah they were ‘Broken Off’ in unbelief and the subsequent ‘Church’ as an Unnatural Parenthetical Olive Branch was Grafted in by Faith in Yeshua and became a partaker of the eternal blessings of the Abrahamic Covenant.

Galatians 3:29
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Romans 11:19-20
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. [20] Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

As stated above, Yeshua was sent only unto the Jews first to ‘Confirm’ the Abrahamic Covenant with the natural olive branches (the Jews/national Israel) but they rejected the very One who was the crescendo of Confirmation of the Covenant as the ‘Coming Promised Seed’ to the Jews.

Romans 15:8
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God,
to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

Galatians 3:15-17 (KJV)
15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Going forward, subsequent to His 31/2 years ministry, as stated before, He and His message of Salvation were both rejected by the Jews and He was Cut Off (karath) by crucifixion in the Middle of Daniel’s 70th Week, thereby STOPPING Daniel’s prophetic time clock at the closure of the Mosaic Covenant, but short of a complete Confirmation of the Abrahamic Covenant with the Jews.

Thus, the Jews being Temporally ‘Broken Off’, and the Church Grafted in, we evidence the continuing blessings of the Abrahamic Covenant, by Faith adoption, through the Promised Seed Jesus - Salvation.  As such, the Church now faithfully sits between the ‘Two Halves’ of Daniel’s 70th Covenant Week with the Jews, until the time of its Rapture of the living and removal subsequent to the Resurrection of the dead in Christ - immediately following the Great Tribulation.

BEFORE the Resurrection of the dead in Christ and the Rapture of the living Church (the unnatural parenthetical Olive Branch) Daniel’s prophetic time clock will restart with the continuation of the Confirmation of the Abrahamic Covenant with the Jews.  This will result in the proclaiming of Yeshua Jesus to the Jews by the ‘Two Witnesses’ at Jerusalem, and unnamed others for the Woman who flees into the wilderness (Israel), for the last 31/2 years of Daniel’s 70th Week – hence the Great Tribulation.

Romans 11:23
And they also [Jews], if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

Rev. 19:10
...for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

The Jews will have ONE final 31/2 years of opportunity under extreme circumstances (Great Tribulation – Antichrist/Beast) to accept Yeshua Jesus (the nucleus of the Abrahamic Covenant) as their personal Lord and Savior.

Matthew 23:39
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

In summary, The CONFIRMATION of THE COVENANT in Daniel 9:27 is all about the Abrahamic Covenant and the coming Messiah in relation to the Jews.
